TSUNAMI TIME IN CALIFORNIA

So, so glad that the tsunami waves produced by the terrible earthquake in Chile were not the huge ones they could have been! Clients called me from their NCL cruise of the Hawaiian Islands, which had to wait off-shore for a few hours before they could dock in Honolulu. They were concerned, but luckily their flight home was a red-eye so they didn't have to miss it. I spoke to others on the ship via my clients cell phone. They were asking all kinds of questions about hotel rooms, flight protectection, etc. It was good to be able to give them some advice during a stressful time!

WINTER WONDERLAND

February in California is fine, thank you! If it's not warm enough here for you (70 degrees in San Diego today) let me send you to a warmer climate. How about a Caribbean cruise?

INDOCHINA, ANYONE?

I'm getting a lot of enquirys about Indochina (Viet Nam, Cambodia, etc.) It seems to be the hot destination in 2010! Who knew that the scene of such a painful time in our history would turn out to have a fascination for tourists seeking the exotic 40 years later!

Exotic destinations, anyone?

I have booked a luxury cruise to Tahiti, a guided tour of India, and a dive trip to Phuket, Thailand in the last few days. Maybe this is going to be my year of exotic trips. At least I can travel vicariously!

If these storms keep coming, I may be forced to take a cruise. Anyone with me?
